About the Author
Carl Patrick was born in Oxford. He has been writing fiction since he was at school and wrote his first novel at 15. He moved to London and trained as a Chartered Accountant. He now livesin Hove, with his partner of 14 years.

My partner, who reads a lot recently read "Netherhall Gardens" and "Netherhall Gardens Beyond" and enjoyed both books very much. So when going on holiday recently I asked him to recommend me a good read and perhaps I shouldn't have been surprised that he didn't hesitate in drawing my attention to these books. My only regret was I didn't take them both away as ended up having to await our return home to read the second book. I was anxious to find out where the characters I had grown fond of had moved on. I now feel I know them intimately and that they are a part of my close circle of friends so much so I eagerly await news of them in hopefully more volumes in this series.

I am so glad I discovered this book by Carl Patrick. It is one of those books where you just have to read a bit more, and I had trouble putting it down. It did not disappoint, and I've already ordered the follow-up. 10 out of 10.

Netherhall Gardens is a compelling read with all of the essential components that excite, captivate and stimulate your imagination. Carl Patrick has a winning formula, just as Armistead Maupin had with his Tales of the City series of books. You will quickly find yourself intimately involved in the lives of the residents of Netherhall and their extended relationships with those outside. The journeys of each of these characters is enriched by their sexual exploits, bizarre adventures and their irrepressible sense of humour. This book has something for everybody. The dinner party at the end of this book is nothing short of brilliant. I hope this book gets the recogntion that it deserves.
