I was looking for a wireless adapter to connect my xbox to my wireless router in order to play xbox live. I am so glad I found this beauty.
From the picture I was expecting something fairly large but this is small enough to fit in the palm of my hand.
Set up was easy. Connect the adapter to your computer using the supplied ethernet cable, run the enclosed CD and follow the on screen instructions. Every thing is clear and easy to follow, everything worked well once I remembered to apply my wireless security code information.
Once that had finished I was using this device to surf the net on my computer. Now it is attached to the xbox and there have been no problems at all and no lag.
The AdHoc mode is great, my friend has one and lives just down the road. A flick of the external switch and we connected two xboxs together without any problems. We didn't need to change any settings for this. The range is fantastic. We connected over a distance of about 70 meters, if you follow the line of sight it is connecting through three brick walls, with one unit positioned on top of a television and the other unit in a conservatory. Even over this distance there was no lag, I could hear my voice through my friends television over the head set as I was speaking.
Truly Awesome.

I bought this wireless adapter in conjunction with a wireless netgear router to connect my Xbox to Live.
I had problems setting up the router for BT broadband but netgear technical sorted it and I thought I would have a load of problems setting this up - how wrong could I be.
I connected the adapter and signed up to Live first time wirelessly !! (I didnt even have to bother connecting with the cable first time) and I didnt even have to use the CD that come with the adapter. I had no problems with online gaming (It rocks), with the exception of those that are microsofts fault.
Basically a great little product, not expensive and works great. My phone point is upstairs and the Xbox downstairs in the living room and there are no problems with the signal.
Highly recommended, buy one and see you online in Halo2.

When i got this i thought it will be worth seeing whats on the cd as a guide. Dont. Its just for securing everything which doesnt really need to be done. Just plug it into your xbox and turn the router on (i used the Netgear DG834GT), it worked first time. It has disconnected only once and that was due to my sister turning the router off after she had finished on the computer downstairs. So warn everyone not to touch it when your routers flashing for the wireless. It doesnt slow anything down being on wireless. I had doubts as It had to travel about 30m through 5 walls and go up a level. Works a charm.

This is a great item worked first time with my Playstation 2 (slimline). Though networking can be a little confusing but if you know your stuff it is easy as pie to setup. I highly recommend one of these if your up for a little online action with your PS2 but dont forget you will need a wireless access point for it to work, I use the Netgear DG834G wireless ADSL modem router. This then enables me to use the Laptop, Desktop and the PS2 all online at the same time if I wanted to..lol.
Get one now and i'll see you on the PS2 Central Station..
