Disappointingly weak and powdery and of absolutely appalling quality for a drink that costs generally between 48p and 70p (depending where you buy it).
This is NOT by any means a filter coffee with a shot of chocolate through it as you would hope. I know a lot of people here (myself included) actually got the Dolce Gusto as a way to save money on expensive coffee drinks like this, it giving sweet promise of rich, creamy, frothy drinks that would cost £3.50 in Starbucks/similar coffee house, with the added bonus of paying £3-£4 for eight whole drinks. This particular flavour doesn't even remotely reach a quarter the way to deliver that promise and gives nothing but the utter disappointment of having something akin to what comes from a box of white-label supermarket value sachets.
To be honest, this is actually powdered instant coffee (and NOT even a good strong coffee, nor anything with any flavour or quality in it) with a smidgeon of (absolutely horrendous quality) powdered cocoa through it. It takes about four sweetex to get this to remotely taste even slightly sweet because it is decidedly bitter (and not in the strong bitter way that good chocolate tastes, but rather the way a cup of cocoa would taste if you made it with water that hadn't been brought to the boil). Felt very cheated by it and just would not recommend or even offer it to guests (as would feel it would be like offering them a cheap and nasty alternative to an actual GOOD cup of coffee).
This is just an utter waste of money. I would instead advise you buy the Dolce Gusto Latte Macchiato or the Cappuccino for the same price, and buy a bottle of good quality chocolate syrup to add to it when needed. Far superior flavour and not powdery on the tongue.
Absolutely disgusting, have tasted far better Mocha from a Nescafe sachet and kettle water than I have from this box.
