Like several other reviewers here I bought this to scare off the cats that foul in my garden and prey on the birds here. When one particularly loathsome version started sitting on the trellis eyeing a nest of baby birds I decided that I had to up the anti. The sonic devices I've got installed don't seem to have deterred the ghastly things neither has the extra panelling on top of the fences.
It's a big gun! I thought I was purchasing something that would fit in my pocket but instead it's like something out of New Vegas (if you know Fallout).
It's easy to aim, the range is good and I have taken a childish delight in seeing the cats run for cover, falling over the fence into their own gardens in a blind panic to escape my gun. I have to admit to learning to 'shoot' in both New Vegas and Skyrim so I don't know if that has improved my aim or not. But actually the scatter effect ranges quite wide and if you aim to get the edge of the cat, it runs into the rest of the 'fire'. You can then return to the house to laugh yourself silly for 5 minutes! So, yes, it's value as fun is unsurpassed. I almost prefer it to Skyrim.
So far, Cassandra 2; cats 0... I just hope that both are fouling in each other's gardens so the owners too can have a taste of what it's like to have uninvited and unwanted visitors to your garden.
The baby birds are doing fine... so it was worth every penny!
