My 6 year old son has just bought this with the money he has been saving from March! It was worth it - dad and him ran around the house shooting each other and my daughter and I had the job of fetching the darts! Exercise and fun for everyone - great toy - have not had it long enough to comment on durability but it survived the initial 3 hour battle. Only thing I would recommend is buying the extra darts!
Just as an update one year on and this continues to be a favourite toy with friends. I have upgraded my ratings to 5 stars on durability and overall rating. My son got the bigger version for xmas last year and was thrilled, but to be honest, prefers to play with these smaller ones as are much easier to handle and reload.
Many boys games have been played and still in perfect condition. My son also got the nerf target set which is brilliant too as they have to shoot at the target and not run around all over the place shooting each other - a slightly calmer version!
Only complaint - and this is for the mums or resident clear up slaves - those nerg tags!!!! eeerrrrggggghhhh! all over the house and shot onto the roof - chewed by the dog etc etc etc Definitely will need an extra set of tags in xmas stocking this year but otherwise well worth it - the little archery expert in your house will not be disappointed with this under the xmas tree or as a birthday pressie.

I haven't had this much fun in ages.
The kids and I have just spent a couple of hours running around after each other firing the little darts at each other in a mad frenzy and I can honestly say that i was laughing that much I thought i was going to have a coronary!
Such a good laugh, go on buy it!

My son got his Nerf for his 8th birthday. He has enjoyed playing with it especially as his best frind can join in to. Daddy seems to like playing as well!
