This is a concise but comprehensive introduction to the customs and culture of Nepal. It is a smallbook and can easily be slipped into luggage or backpack. It seems to cover everything from religion to leisure; Nepalese at home and at business; making friends to health and safety; and much more. A very good little book for travellers to Nepal.

Having never been to nepal I can't comment on the accuracy this book reflects of the nepalese culture, however the great detail of every part of this book has lead me to give it four stars.
The author of this book only lived in nepal for two years, this made me quite dubious. However as I read through this book and leart more and more about nepal and the nepalese I realised the author knew her stuff and had given a thourough representation of the subject matter.
A small book, but jam packed with facts, figures, trivia and useful information. Especially useful to anybody going for a short period as it highlights all of the religious festivals and holiday dates which you may wish to be a part of or avoid.

This book is ok but the information inside is very basic. you can get all this information and much more from just buying the lonely planet guide or from the Nepalese tourist info web site.
