I recently purchased these as a stocking filler for my daughter, I must say I am a little disappointed with the size of the balls but more with the packing - the picture shows them in a container. They have just arrived in a sealed plastic bag wrapped in bubble wrap - I now have to find something for them to go in due to the size of the balls these will be easily lost.

There are many options for a person looking to purchase a set of magnetic balls, with prices ranging from roughly a tenner up to around £40.
I had previously purchased some of the more expensive ones, and was looking to expand my collection to allow me to produce larger and more complicated shapes with them.
The trouble with these particular balls is a matter of tolerances. Unfortunately the variation in size between smallest and largest is simply too great to make complex shapes.

Carrying out the procedure in the above video (making four joined rows and 'zipping' them up) on these balls, they are far from a straight line.
If you only intend buying a single set, I'm sure this product will do just fine for you and save you a good chunk of change.
BUT if you plan on getting a few sets and thinking big... a branded set is likely to be better toleranced and allow you to make larger, more complicated shaped.

I have recently bought these magnets and just started to wonder how much fun we could get playing with these kind of powerful magnets. It all draws down to one's own creativity to come up with different shapes with these magnets. The delivery came to my office and as soon as I opened it, I could see my colleagues playing with the magnets for long time with so much resistance to leave it and go back to work. Only thing I was bit surprised with this product was the magnetic balls size. Although the manufacturer clearly stated the dimensions, the images for this product are bit misleading as the balls appear to be bigger in the images but are very small in reality. So, this is not a product for very young kids as they could easily swallow a magnet ball (hence this product is recommended for 14+ years old).
Overall, I am so happy with this product and it is just too much fun to play with these magnets

Earlier I have mentioned that the images are bit misleading with respect to size of magnets. Thanks to whoever has added a recent image (1st image) for this product which gives a clear reference on the size of the magnet balls.
So now I have nothing to complain about this product. Absolutely a great and entertaining gift to anyone.

Such an entertaining gift. Bought this for my partner after many hesistations of buying through the year, only to end up playing with it most of the time myself. Well, fighting over it most days. So i have now ordered another one for myself. Very addictive, i love it, hours of fun and frustration.

Last time I ordered these, they came in a metal box. I think the product picture had a box back then, but months later I came back to order some more because I love these but they didn't come in a box.
That's fine really, they came in an air-tight packet with a lot of bubble wrap. These set of magnets feel different and tougher than the previous ones I brought.
I lost 2 of the previous 216magnets, but those came with 3 extra (mistake I think?) I was kinda hoping for 2 extra with this batch atleast, but they come in air-tight boxes now.
As long as you have a place to store them, this is no problem.
I know use these magnets to relieve stress by pulling on them.
Also, zc34's 1 star rating is a testament to how strong these magnets are.
My 2year old brother hasn't swallowed these, and never tries to eat anything but food.

Since I got this I have been using it non stop, keeps not only your brain but your hands active, it is really fun to try and build different shapes, and "fighting" with the little magnets it's a perfect time killer, I don't even know where the time goes, good bye to boring commutes!

Its nice to play with your balls
