Format: Mass Market Paperback
This is a “stand alone” story, not related to Asimov’s Foundation epic. It has been seriously suggested by astronomers that the sun could have a faint red dwarf companion. This story explores some of the consequences of this possibility, with faster-than-light travel and conscious planets thrown in for good measure. This is not great literature or even profound scientific speculation, but it’s thoroughly entertaining and well worth reading.

This is a delightful book I read in a day - I couldn't let go. It has all the essentials of a great story, being able to empathasise with the characters, unpredictable plot lines, science fiction, astronomy concepts, human psychology at its best and a lovely twist of a solution. It weaves all of these strands into a coherent and delightful read - the essence of a great book. Congratulations Isaac.

Format: Hardcover
When a great artist takes it easy and just uses his skills and talent to write yet another book you get something like ‘Nemesis’. Thus, those reviewers who look down upon this part of Asimov’s legacy don’t do it justice. The book is excellent, although I wouldn’t classify it as profound. If you want profound, read ‘The End of Eternity’.

‘Nemesis’ gives you an impressive blend of a solid plot, deep characters and plausible future science. I read it twice and enjoyed it immensely. If you haven’t read it, add it to your bucket list.

Typical Asimov novel, read as new despite first reading it in the 1960s. Cleverly designed plot with unexpected last-minute twist. Satisfying characters. Most enjoyable, couldn't put it down till I finished. However, I skipped some of the rather long-winded, laborious "conversations" which Asimov inserted, intended to explain the science and maths to hopeless ignoramuses like me.

Great book at a great price. It was a 'used' book but looks almost new. Seller dispatched it quickly and i'm very happy with this purchase.

The book itself is an Azimov classic. A stand-alone sci fi book not related to the foundation series. Highly recommended for any sci-fi buff.
