Nice looking and easy to use dibber bought in anticipation of planting miniature daffs and crocus in garden. Unfortunately the steel spike came off the wooden shank after only half and hour or so of planting. You can slot it back on and extract it from its hole the ground by pulling it out at an angle so it was still useable but it was frustrating and made the job take a lot longer than it needed.

I'm not sure if the 4 i purchased were from a faulty batch but these are just terrible. The quality looks good, typical of Spear and Jackson, but within 10 minutes of use the metal cone separates from the handle. I bought four for a group of us working on a project and all four broke almost straight away. Shame as i've always admired the quality and value of Spear & Jackson products.
Well-made, looks like it will be durable; have already used to plant spring bulbs without problem; is a good length, might have preferred a larger diameter size but with a little extra rotation I was able to make a sizeable hole; price on Amazon is extremely competitive.
