This review is from: Spear & Jackson - Elements Aerator (Garden & Outdoors)
The aerator did about 5 square meters when one of the prongs snapped off, shortly followed by another 5 mins later, the two end ones and the middle one remained which made it easier to use to be honest.I would say if you are going to use it on quite a lrge garden then i would either rent a mechanical one or pay abit more for the stronger products which have less spikes as the weilds are not good on this particular one.

Expectations unfulfilled,

Sadly this was not a successful purchase. I had visions of nice neat tubes of soil emerging from the top of the tines, but in my case all I got was compaction in the tubes which had to be cleared, with difficulty, with bamboo sticks. My conclusion is that this tool would work OK if the soil was loamy or sandy, but clogs badly on a clay soil. Unfortunately it is clay soil that needs aeration most. I think a fork would work better and with much less effort, and indeed, having since spoken to a county cricket groundsman on the subject, that is exactly what he uses.

not worth it,

it's only a gimmick. The clay keeps getting clogged up inside and removing it with a stick is a pain. Not worth the money.
