Greatest adapter I have. No problem with heat on mine. I've had it plugged in multiple times for several hours each time charging my ipod nano 6G and Blackberry tour. I like mine so much I bought 2 more so I don't have to have 3 different USB cables in the car. Sure its cheaply made (reason for not giving it 5 stars) but for less than $4 bucks what do you expect.
