I think I read a review mentioning that the hollow shaft is easy to dent when attaching the umbrella to a stand. The shafts on the umbrellas I received are made of steel and seem pretty sturdy to me. In any case, the Neewer umbrella / flash holders I bought at the same time have a spring tensioner inside the mounting hole which holds the umbrella firmly without any tightening of the thumb wheel.

Excellent value for these two umbrellas, would have to pay far more for these if they were European brand and would probably end up doing without if I was working to a budget.

2 brollies for under 6 quid - where's the catch. The good news is there isn't one, these brollies are an absolute bargain, they give a beautiful quality of light and are ideal for a small home studio set up or off camera flash set up (I used them with 2 Yongnuo 560 mk2's). There brollies are exceptionally well made for the price and look like they will last for quite a while , although at this price they are almost disposable. Highly recommended.:)

These are a great purchase for anyone needing some reflective lighting for confined spaces. While they might, at first sight, appear to be a bit flimsy, they were perfect for the portrait shots I was taking in a cramped living room.

I wouldn't recommend using them on a breezy day outdoors, though, or you'll be flying away like Mary Poppins!

Easily packed into my lighting stand's travel bag.

One thing slightly frustrating, is that the shaft is hollow and of a smaller diameter than the slot on my Kaavie flash holder allows. Maybe I need to look more closely at marrying the two together.

However, that being said.....I am delighted!

The ends of the tubes are not finished well. They are left open and quite sharp. Overall the umbrellas a good quality for the price and cheap to replace if they get bent up.

I only started getting into professional photography a while ago and these umbrellas seem to be ideal for anyone who's just starting to experiment with off flash photography. They are big enough to cover a good deal of space for indoors photography and seem to be pretty steady.

I would recommend those to anyone on a budget!

as mentioned before - poorly made and not really useful other than to cover yourself from light rain.... has very bad light diffusion properties, i really don't know if this is just a bad batch as other reviewers have said they are fine.... it's cheap enough to take a gamble.
