As per the other reviews this small Compact flash reader does exactly what is asked of it. It's perfect for my laptop when I'm travelling as the device is small. I agree that the CF card is best inserted into the reader before the device is plugged into the USB port. But I've had mine 2 months now and being gentle with the card insertion ensures no pins get bent. The USB to compact flash interface could be a little faster regarding data rate but I'd still happily recommend this for the price.

That's it, all you need, goes in your pocket or a bag until you need it, to use it, just whip off the cap (which has a built in pen clip), plug your CF card in, pop it in a USB socket and copy your pics.
You know which cards you use, so why mess about and take up space with one of those 21 in 1 jobs.

Complete rubbish
Just received this and it simply doesn't work. I know it's cheap but I'd rather have given the money to a stranger. Don't do it.

Good
The build quailty is cheap, but what do you expect for the price! It does the job, and I would buy it again, you just need to be a little careful with it thats all.

CF adapter
Much better than having to keep plugging in a cable, but if you get one, it's worth a tube of superglue as well. It keeps falling to bits!

CF Reader
Simple to use easy way to upload picture files onto the computer. No real issues, except care is needed putting the card in not to bend any pins.

Cheap tat
The one i received looks nothing like this, more like a transparent lilac-coloured shrimp. It is fiddly to get the card in - and doesn't work with my iMac - flickers on and off. Read more
