Product Description

The camera's angle of view multiply the camcorder, digital/video camera by 0.45 times, which more than doubles the angle of view of the camera. Great for landscapes or recording in situations where a little creative curvature of field , it is wanted for a certain style.

This unique lens works on ALL Cameras & Camcorders with 52mm size Lens Filter thread!!!

This excellent lens can be separated in two pieces (unscrewed): macro part and wide angle part. So you can use it both ways: like macro lens (without wide angle part) and like wide angle with macro together! This is a very unique feature of this lens for its price. As a macro attachment this is OK, just about on a par with a macro screw in filter. However when attached to a decent quality Olympus lens to use to widen the angle all it does is cause image degradation. I have uploaded 2 images including one of a tree branch at the edge of photos taken with and without the filter. There is a huge quality difference for no change in angle of view unless you like the round 'fisheye' type of image which isn't even a fisheye.

To be fair I did try it on my Panasonic 45-200mm (MFT so 90 - 400mm equivalent) and there was some increase in angle of view without the same vignetting so perhaps if you only have a standard or tele zoom lens then this device maybe of some use.

i bought this lens when I first see it in amazon and I thought it very interesting; i had my 18-55 kit lens and I wanted wider angle lens; at this price around £10 I thought to have a go; the good points are : it fits well to your 52mm diameter lens and works really well slightly beyond my expectation; its really extend your field of view; your focal length will be around 9 mm, amazing; there is some vignetting at the widest , which you can avoid by not going upto the widest or easily can be cropped in post processing; you can use it as macro also with good quality photos; overall quality of picture are same as with your 18-55 mm nikon lens alone;the disadvantages are: only available at 52mm size( but you can use adaptor for 58 - 52 conversion..will make heavier); it is slight weighty; autofocus of lens works ok with that as you have to attach it in front of your lens but I was a bit scared and used it always with manual focus to avoid the pressure on the lens motor, ( this tip i got from another reviewer);another problem is when you want to use only wide ,you have to use the whole thing but for macro you can use only the macro part; overall its very nice attachment to try for wide angle and macro ; specially if you dont want to spend hundreds of pound for wide angle lens

The item was bought from a respectable company and made by a respectable manufacturer, and it's easy to see this reflected in the product. It arrived well packaged and clean, with no scratches etc on the lens, and came with a few lens caps and a little synthetic leather bag. The product itself is robust and fairly weighty, made of solid glass and metal, so it will certainly last me a long time, but the extra nose-weight is easy to get used to and wasn't even a problem when shooting. As for the images produced, I found that they were as stated in the product description, and the accessory increased my lens' field of vision by over thirty percent easily. The macro attachment works well also with the wide angle lens removed, allowing for super close-up macro shots less than a centimetre away from the subject, although my only criticisms would be that the lens will not focus well any further out, and sometimes distorts the image slightly if you take the shot as far out as you can get it to focus. However, the main reason I bought the product is because I needed extra space in photos without having to zoom out and compromise detail, and that's exactly what it does, so five stars on this one! I can stay zoomed in on a group of people at a party or presentation, but still get them in-frame, or I can use it to get in a beautiful background out in the countryside but still fill the frame with my subject!

My kit:
Nikon D3200 24MP DSLR
18-55mm kit lens with the Neewer Wide Angle Lens attachment
55-400mm Nikon lens with a stock petal hood

This lens is a fantastic piece of kit. I bought this a few months ago for my nikon D50 and after reading some of the previous reviews i was a bit dubious about it but thought what the heck its only £8. When i got it it came in a little plastic type bag and strait away i noticed its weight and that this is a solid piece of kit and is well made. The housing is metal with a big chunk of glass inside it and it looks quite good aswell it doesnt feel cheap and plasticy but almost proffesional like and has lens caps on both ends. It was a bit fiddly to get on the threads at the end of my lens but after a few shots i now have it sussed. It does feel a bit heavy when attatched to the camera but you get used to it quite quickly. The macro part screws off from the wide angled bit and other attatchments can be screwed onto the end if it.
So how well does this lens take photos??.....well i have 3 different lenses that ive tried it on an 18-55mm kit lens a 28-80mm D lens and a 105mm macro lens. On the 18-55mm and the 28-80mm this lens works really well. Its nice and sharp and does not degrade any quality from these lenses at all in fact it slightly sharpend up the images on my 18-55mm kit lens!!!! I prefere using it as a wide angled lens as it works really well it has a very noticable wide angle of view and comes in very handy for getting that bit extra image into your photos, the macro lens is also pretty impressive for what it is and it does get you that bit better magnification to your subject but since i have a macro lens this one is only used as a wide angled lens which i use on my 28-80mm lens all the time....in fact its never off this lens because i like it so much.
The problem with this lens was when i attatched it to my 105mm macro lens, it would not focus at all!!
