PLEASE NOTE :: " Mini DVI " is NOT the same as " Mini DisplayPort " !!! :::: Its is extremely common for folks to buy the wrong adapter and need to return or exchange despite the *** warnings *** in the product info above (I guess folks read reviews more than product info) ... so please read the following info and also the product info as it may help !!!
As it says in the product description ::: This Mini DVI adapter is for Apple Macs that have a " Mini DVI " port for video out. This includes many (slightly) older Macs such as the MacBook and MacBook Pro and AIR ( UP TO LATE 2008 ).
Most newer Macs (such as the iMac, Unibody MacBook, MacBook Pro and Air from late 2008 onwards) have a new and different port called " Mini DISPLAYPORT " and this is NOT the same as " Mini DVI " ... and will not fit.
You can see a close up picture of the actual ports and adapter connection in the 'other' images at the top of the product listing :::: If you have a newer Mac and require the Neet " Mini DisplayPort to DVI adapter " it can be found here :: Apple Mini DisplayPort to DVI adapter cable by Neet® - ( for Unibody MacBook - Pro - Air etc. )
There are also a couple of other, less common adapters that Apple used briefly... one is called "Mini VGA" (found on older Macs) and another is called " Micro DVI " (found on the MacBook Air for one year only) ... these are far less common but still get confused. ( Even Apple can give the wrong advise (eg: telling customers that Mini VGA is Mini DVI but an older version so folks go looking for an older Mini DVI which does not exist ))
The bottom line is to be sure and check your port before buying ... and if in any doubt, please contact Neet Cables via ' contact seller ' on Amazon.
This Neet Mini DVI to DVI adapter is plug & play, works very well and will be dispatched quickly with fast and friendly email customer support from Neet if needed ... but please check that you are buying the correct adapter first !

I needed to connect a second display to my Apple 24"imac, my imac is the older type with the dvi output rather that the newer Mini DisplayPort, after searching the internet I came across the Neet Mini DVI to full size DVI adapter. I ordered it, it was dispatched quickly and in no time I had my second display up and running. The adapter was as advertised and did the job perfectly, it is well constructed and has a quality feel and appearance. However, make sure you need a Mini DVI to DVI adapter and that you imac has a Mini DVI output and not a Mini DisplayPort output, some thing that Neet stress when you receive the product. All in all a five star service.

Bought this for a presentation using my wife's laptop.
I had to make sure it was minidvi rather than the new mini display port.
The lead did a great job. The fitting into the laptop was a little bit moveable but it stayed in absolutely fine.
For this money I cannot really complain.

Not Great
Does the job- plug in normal monitor to macbook, but is not a great fit- and if knocked the screen goes blank- would buy genuine Apple instead of this!
