Product Description

Manufacturer's Description

What starts in the city is settled in the canyons as Need for Speed Carbon immerses you in the world's most dangerous and adrenaline-filled form of street racing. You and your crew must race in an all-out war for the city, risking everything to take over your rivals' neighbourhoods one block at a time. As the police turn up the heat, the battle ultimately shifts to Carbon Canyon, where territories and reputations can be lost on every perilous curve. Represent your car class, your crew, and your turf in Need for Speed Carbon, the next revolution in racing games.

Key Features:
All-new Canyon Duel and Drift race modes are the ultimate test of skill and nerve, where one wrong turn could cost you more than the race.

Race for control of the city block-by-block by taking down rival crews on their turf, then defeat their crew leaders in life-or-death races in Carbon Canyon.

The revolutionary new Autosculpt car customisation tool gives you the power to design and tweak your crew's cars in every way imaginable.

Affiliate with the Tuner, American Muscle, or Exotic car classes and prove once and for all who makes the best set of wheels. A new physics model makes each class handle and drive differently.

Strategically choose your crew members and then use their skills on the road and in the garage to help you win races and customise your cars.

Fun:
This is a bit of a cookie cutter title from EA, after the refreshing NFS: Most Wanted. Taking place after events in MW, and somewhere where the sun never rises, you start by trashing your M3 GTR (yay) and starting afresh with a new shopping cart to stick go faster bits and pieces on.

Rather than working your way up through bosses in Most Wanted, you have territories to conquer, by winning races. It's still very linear, but this time the fun and games with the police has gone.

You don't have to bait Roscoe and Cletus to work your way up either, nor achieve notoriety by engaging in Blues Brothers-esque chases and seeing how many police cruisers you can total. Saying that, someone has raided their car impound lot and you get to drive some hilariously oversteering boats disguised as muscle cars.

Given these few differences everything else is much the same, with more emphasis on racing, with drift races and canyon duels to tax your graphics card and acknowledge the Tokyo Drift film, but don't make up for making trouble with the rozzers.

From cheesy cut scenes, a limited number of car models (where's the mk 1 subaru impreza ? audi quattro sport ? gruppe B lancia delta S4 ? :-), questionable arcade style handling to another piece of eye candy (Emmanuelle Vaughier rather than Josie Maran) it's business as usual.

Yes, there are the addition of wingmen as part of your racing team, but not only are they introduced in the same teeth grating way as in Most Wanted but also serve as a hindrance, Vaugier's character seems to have got her handbag stuck under the accelerator of her Ford GT40 and is always in THE WAY.

The main story is also way to short, being pretty ham fisted, I managed to complete it in 2-3 days, on and off. A bit like a mission pack really.

Moans aside, it's business as usual, EA doing enough to guarantee the dollars keep coming in. Me, I find this stuff compelling enough to keep on buying/playing, even though I always say I won't do it again.

Still not a patch on Most Wanted. Bring back Roscoe, Boss Hogg and Daisy Duke. Having the General Lee in the game just isn't enough.

A Kid's Review
Fun:
I was going to review need for speed most wanted, but when it arived,it had the wrong disk.Instead, it had need for speed carbon disk on pc.
It is kind of boring, but then, things are quite tricky.
The cars are cool. They have lots.
It is kind of like undergrund 2 and most wanted put together.
How it is like underground 2:

.It has drifting event.

.Oppenents cars are curising around plyoumt city whenever you want to challenged
them.

How it is like most wanted:

.Police everywhere.

.Most wanted and carbon story connet.

.Bonues markers after defated the boss.

Its good, but it gets hard later, unless you found cheats.
