Got this book hot of the press and have already given it away!!!! To another aspiring triathlete. Well laid out book for the newcomer to the sport.
Gives totally non-scarey training plans to get you to your first season of competing/completing triathlons and beyond.
Covers most of the questions I had when I was entering my first season, wish this book had been about then.
Joe Beer has a positive attitude and this comes across in this book.
Also gives useful tips from elite athletes and age groupers alike.

I've only recently taken up triathlon and I found this book very helpful. It is well laid out and covers all the basics. There are other books that go into more detail, but as a first introduction I'd recommend this one. It is also more relevant to the UK triathlon season than several other books on the market.
