Product Description

You never thought it would turn out like this - an all-out chase where you're the hunted. And the hunter. Now you must get behind the wheel and risk everything to infiltrate a ruthless international crime syndicate and take them down. The man you're after is a maniac behind the wheel, and he's driving like his life depends on escape, which maybe it does. He's the one with all the answers you need, you will track him down. Needless to say, that fleet of police cruisers in your rearview mirror won't make things any easier. It will take all of your experience - and every ounce of skill - to outrun the law, take down the enemy, and unlock the truth that puts an end to this chase once and for all.

5.0 out of 5 stars My sons review "Brilliant game" 17 Dec. 2010

This is a brilliant game. The 75 events are cool and the cars are nice, but the pictures above aren't the ds version. You don't get a vayron (4th picture) or a lotus (3rd picture) or an Audi (5th) and no guns in the ds game. There are 20 cars and plenty of upgrades. But overall a fantastic game. If you have read the first review most of it is wrong .If you think this is a bad game you are wrong!!!
P.S There is no free roam though.

1.0 out of 5 stars A disgrace to the Need For Speed name 15 Aug. 2009

Before I say anything, I just want to mention that I usually like games that nobody else does. I don't mind bad graphics or games that aren't up to scratch, I'm used to it. But this is in a different league.

Need For Speed has always been my favourite racing series for any console. I first played NFS Most Wanted on the PS2, which was brilliant. Everything about it was perfect and the story was epic. Carbon and Pro Street on the PS2 were disappointing but not bad. Undercover Wii was on par with NFS Most Wanted. A brilliant game, not so brilliant graphics but definitely 9/10 overall.

My brother wanted a racing game for his DS, so he decided, after loving the predecessors, he would go for NFS Undercover. And how he regretted it.
Despite being OK on the wii, the story for the DS version was shortened and rushed, with something like 65 events in the whole game with the story lost with short paragraphs of dialogue thrown in. There was no mystery, intrigue or action in the story either. 3/10

Then we come to the graphics. The cars all look the same - just boxes. The customization is pointless. OK, you can choose the colours, granted, but you only get a choice of 20 vinyls which you can't even change the colour for. All the streets look the same and even at 300 KPH you feel like you're doing 20. During a High-Way Battle, you'll have a clear road and in half a second you'll have hit a car. It's that bad, you can't see more than a few seconds in front of you. 1/10

The game play is horrendous. It's not reactive, you can't feel anything that's happening with the car. The AI's slow down when you're behind them, then as soon as you're past they zoom ahead. That's after they've used all their Nitrous Oxide. Speaking of N2O, it's just weird.
