Product Description

The ability to bring high-end technology to a compact, fully-redesigned, extremely powerful light source is finally here. The REDLINE is our brightest flashlight to date, 220 lumens of pure white light to be exact. In automobiles, redlining is reaching the peak of its performance, whereas we, with NEBO REDLINE are harnessing the maximum power of this flashlight with 220 lumens of blinding bright light. (NOTE: Anything above 50 lumens within a 10 yard distance may cause temporary blindness when viewed directly.) The REDLINE has 5 lighting modes, 100-Percent white light (220 lumens), 50-Percent white light (110 lumens), 10-Percent white light (22 lumens), S.O.S. mode (220 lumens), or emergency strobe mode (220 lumens). This flashlight has a 4x adjustable beam that works with any light setting to change the REDLINE from a flood light to illuminate everything within a 20 yard distance, or to a spot light to focus up to 150 yards. The bezel of the REDLINE controls the adjustable beam. The red ring of the NEBO REDLINE enhances all of the features of this flashlight.

Hi this is my first review so I'll just go for it. The NEBO Redline Tactical LED 200 lumens is nothing short of amazing, the design is solid and the button on the back is multi-function, 1 press you get 200 lumens, 2 presses 110 lumens, 3 presses 22, 4 presses an SOS mode repeater and yes finally a tactical defensive strobe wow! The defensive strobe is so amazing you would never get near it unless you had your eyes closed very tightly, and I'm not talking close. In broad daylight my son and me tested this out and from a distance of 30ft I gave in virtually straight away and ended up seeing green shadows for a while, all fine now though. It seems a bit tricky at first to get used to the button, if you need the SOS mode number 4 then click the button 4 times not fast but rather 1 sec intervals. The other neat trick is turn on the torch and only half press the button this cyles through the modes and is way faster than messing about. WARNING WARNING do not look at the light emitting from this torch you will go blind especially if you turn to 4x mag on the front dial. In my garden on wide beam 200 lumens at 8pm I turned on the torch and the whole bloody garden lit up to which point I sort of stood back in amazement as I have brought torches before that claimed they were great only to be let down.

PROS . Quality build. CONS . Need 300 + lumen torch by this company now. Lol

I bought this torch to use for 'light painting' photography so will review with that purpose in mind. Firstly, it is very bright, that's a plus! It is very small, also a plus. What I'm not keen on is the red plastic ring around the lens hood which illuminates when the torch is on as this can show up in long exposure photos, I wish it didn't have it. Also, it has various 'modes' - full power, lower power, SOS (in Morse code) and a fixed frequency strobe. All a bit gimmicky if you ask me. Clicking the 'on' button quickly scrolls through these modes. The torch defaults to full power if left off for a couple seconds. I don't need these other modes so wish they weren't there but some might appreciate them? The torch allows you to focus the beam fairly tight which is a good feature. The tight beam is a rounded square shape, not circular - not sure why. The wide beam is a nice circle. For my purpose (light-painting photography), knowing what I now know I'd probably try to find a focusable, powerful torch without the red ring on the hood that illuminates and without the various 'modes' but it is a well built, solid bit of kit and I can work around it's 'features'.

I have bought a series of LED torches over the past few years, and, despite being one of the cheapest, this Nebo Redline Torch is probably my favourite. I use this torch mainly to locate my cat in the playing field next to our house at night. As I see it these are the pros and cons of this compact LED torch -

Pros

- It seems well made and looks "Technic" but compact - it's all metal with the exception of the switch end and the metal construction protects the lens by protruding over it slightly.
- The surround of the base is magnetic and supports the weight of the torch which is very useful.
- The luminous weatherproof switch toggles between the various outputs - full, half, SOS, Morse, strobe etc. very easily.
- I like the fact that there is a red bezel which glows when the torch is on - it helps identify you in the dark (providing of course not all your party have Nebo Redline Torches!).

- The torch has a great "1x - 4x zoom" feature - you can go from a long throw focused beam to flood by rotating the end of the torch and this is the first torch I've had where the end doesn't actually fall off when you keep rotating it - there are clear stop points in both directions. You can use this feature with one hand.
- The light output is very powerful - I have learnt to largely ignore the claimed Lumen output with LED torches and, by way of example, this Nebo model is brighter than another manufacturer's torch which claims to output 500 lumens.
- The three AAA batteries required are supplied and are Duracell, plus, the torch is supplied in a descriptive blister pack making it a very presentable gift.
- Battery life seems good so far and I use it mainly on full beam.

Cons

- There is no case or lanyard attachment point.

Best torch ive used so far and for a good price, have used maglites up untill now( i am a grocery home delivery driver and use a torch alot in winter months in evenings finding address's/signs etc) and rely alot on a good torch as company supplied torch is basic rubbish! So thought i would give this a try, and my god! its much more powerful than my maglite and so much smaller, so easy to slip in pocket after navigating my way down unlit alleyways and gardens with many hidden dangers! to all sorts of places! so after trying this one i ordered another!! to keep in the car as the emergency beacon and magnetic base are great in a breakdown or emergency! GREAT TORCH! GREAT PRICE! STRONGLY RECCOMMEND!
