Format: DVD
This is the third season of this massive TV comedy from the 60s, and the very first recorded in colour. This set includes seven hilarious episodes -including the first of the christmas 'specials'.

Some more early parts for famous faces can be seen here, including: Maggie Jones (Coronation Street), Roger Tonge (Crossroads), Sally Thomsett (Man About The House) and a young Windsor Davies. These episodes include probably two of the best and funniest ever in 'Get Up Them Stairs' where it turns out that Lily and Walter are not legally married, and have been (according to Nellie) living in sort of 'mischief'! The second being the hilarious: 'Getting To Know You' where Nellie and Eli get trapped in the cellar together, and begin to share some personal secrets they later regret! In total contrast, this set also includes probably one of the weakest eps. in 'The Power Behind The Throne' which seems to struggle along when compared to the rest of this great vintage series.

This was the third DVD release not to include any 'extras' or bonus material.

Enjoy!

This is a series that I watched when it was first broadcast and it had me in fits of laughter every week. All the characters are larger than life. The 2 stars spar off each other. You can buy each series or the complete series box which is terrific value.

Just as funny as back in 1968. Interesting to see the "Now Famous" faces appear looking so young. Hilda Baker is a gem and how she remembers all the "incorrect and muddled" words and phrases is a mystery! If you hate the modern bad language so called "Comedies" then this is a must
