MyRoutes learns your personal driving style and then recommends routing based on time of day time in the week and your habits so the route you get will always best suit your needs. Speed Assistant warns you if you exceed the speed limit and warns you of the locations of fixed safety cameras. Over 2M Points-Of-Interest pre-installed including petrol stations restaurants pubs airports stations etc.. and POI Click feature means you can select by touching the screen on the POI you next want to go to. Dynamic Route Overview shows you the next petrol station and restaurant you will pass on your route if you need fuel or need a toilet. Smart address entry allows you to enter a UK 7 Digit Post Code and view it on the map to check the address or you can enter the full address and house number or you can search for a Point-Of-Interest or you can enter Latitude:Longitude coordinates. Emergency Help feature gives you your position and the details of the nearest petrol station police station hospital or pharmacy. Matt black design. MyReport function allows you to update Navigon of map changes through the Navigon Fresh application running on your PC at home so Navteq can be advised and newer maps published by experts.

Good sat nav for the money but
-The main problem is it could take ages looking for the sattelite,
- very small sd card installed, so if you want update anything - need to buy new sd card.
- Sound is not very clear compared to tomtom one.
- Screen and all plastic is cheap and not hard-resistance enough - need to buy protector the same time.

takes an age in cloudy weather to find signal up to an hour sometimes. once signal is recieved its fine but i can not recommend!!

Went from a tomtom to this Navigon for the price : definitively a bargain for 50GBP (not on amazon) but really a shame that none of the POI can be updated manually. The only way to do it is to purchase a separate software, poiwarner, which finally adds to the overall cost... and doesn't make it a bargain anymore!
Everyday use needs some practice (not as good as tomtom which I'd been using for 5 years) especially since you can't really browse the different routes by roads, only by map... not very practical when you're not sure if it'll take you on a motorway or on a parallel B road...
Takes a long time to find a satellite (2-3 minutes, whereas it was instant on my old tomtom) which is really annoying too. I would have expected a much better GPS chip in a satnav which normally retails at the same price as the basic tomtom...
The safety cameras are a good option but certainly not as good as those I could easily update myself on the tomtom ( and not as complete: the navigon database only shows the fixed speed cameras whereas my tomtom used to show fixed and mobile ones, much more useful, especially when travelling in France)
You get what you pay for... Will certainly go back to Tomtom in a few months time ...
