This volume presents a field-tested enrichment programme to help married couples maximize their relational potential. The programme is built upon an explicit consideration of family-related values, and is held together by a theoretically and empirically based conceptual mode. Datasets of 48 couples from the US Army and 40 couples from a Fortune 500 company (applying the results of MAP - the Marital Assessment Profile) are used to test the critical assumptions of the model. Taken together, the contents of the book represent an attempt to integrate theory, research, and practice in the development and grounding of the intervention programme.
