But when the two are caught in a perilous situation, they are forced to put aside their pettiness and re-examine their lives. With external factors stripped away, they begin to fall in love. Ultimately, Edith must decide between staying in the glamorous world she has always cherished or leaving it all behind for a chance at love.

This is a lovely story. Jaclyn Smith and Tim Mathesson have a real chemistry between them. Unfortunately this film is only available on region 1 and can only be played on multi region dvd players. Never the less, it's a beautiful love story and it also made me laugh in some parts. Well worth watching.

I would recommend this film to all channel five afternoon movie viewers! It's not a blockbuster but it is very enjoyable and the acting is pretty good which can't be said for all films of this genre. The two leads (Tim Matheson and Jaclyn Smith) have genuine, believable chemistry between them. The story itself is based on a true story so it makes the movie all the more watchable knowing that it's actually happened. It makes you think of the real struggles of this type that actually go on in the world (I won't go into too much detail as don't want to spoil it for anyone reading this who hasn't watched the film yet). I didn't cry at this film even though the 'tear rating' is supposed to be 4 out of 5 so that's saying something for me as I usually blub at anything. On another day though I may have cried I guess. All in all then I would say that anyone on their own for an evening who feels like curling up on the sofa and watching a feel good film where you don't have to think too much should definitely give this movie a go. Enjoy! :D

i brought this dvd becouse i am a huge jaclyn smith fan and jaclyn has a big part in this film. jaclyn plays a glamourous workaholic jounalist who is forced into going to canada to write a story about salmon prices. when she gets there a woman takes her to talk with a fisherman. the man is very hostel and the two start off hating eachother. but when they get trapped in a sinking boat they have to brush past there diffrences and in the prosses fall in love. ok this is odviously a made for tv movie, and the picture quality isnt exactly high deffinition but this film is good. i can see though why some may not enjoy it but i most certenly loved it.
