An invaluable guide to everything kinky, described in practical and insightful terms by a master debauchee at the top of his game.
Blows away the cobwebs surrounding the British view of sex with invigorating panache and wit. I consider it well worth the money, even though I know all of it anyway.

An easy to read book about kink , giving various ideas and suggestions . Being english its alot more relevant than some of the american my way or highway tomes . Worth buying cheaply for the excellent intro , which is very pro kink . However the print , paper quality and photos are terrible , so it has a rather home made feel to it [ after one read it is now like chip paper ].

The Xcite guide was a fun read, refreshingly free of all the dogma and protocol which can be off-putting in books of a similar nature. It managed to be very funny while also offering remarkable insights into the things people commonly feel in relation practicing various aspects of BDSM and what peoples motivations (and possible demotivations) are without over-romantising things.
I enjoyed the relaxed attitude to roles and monogamy. Had I read this book earlier on in my own explorations I am sure I would have certainly would have found it reassuring when my early attitudes failed to match more conventional ones both on and off the scene.
I would definately recommend it to anyone fairly new to BDSM, and to anyone more experienced who wants a few new ideas or needs a fresh perspective. The chapter on food/mess was a brilliant inclusion not often covered in kink guides. I personally have not experienced much around that subject but Aishling made it sound so much fun, I might have to give it a go in the near future! The spanking/cp chapter was involved and detailed, a must read for anyone who is curious about spanking, or just needs reminding why they fell in love with it in the first place!
Pure inspiration, if you are looking for a comprehensive, easy to read guide to the joys of Kinky fun, this is the book for you.
