Reading and working through Naughty But Nice is similar to the experience of one-to-one counselling. The author is direct and firm, while being sympathic and realistic. The book is totally resonant with modern life and the dilemmas of being a woman in today's society, and I was astonished how apt some of the advice was - it was like it was written for me, but I can totally see how other women I know would get the same benefits from it.
The quizzes, tasks and other tools are very useful and the ways the author gets you thinking about the hows and whys of your behaviour make it seem easy and obvious (why did I never think of this before?) - when in fact she is coaching you through some quite complex concepts and processes.
I guess my only quibble is with the title - I think it's a guide to being who you want (and getting what you want comes as only one of the results of that).
