I bought this for my 6 year old daughter who's just started reading 'chapter' books- she absolutely loves Amelia Jane............

I bought these books for my 7 yr old daughter to read & they are perfect for that - around the same reading level as the Rainbow Magic books. Very funny stories about an anarchic doll who upsets other toys with her unruly and mischievous behaviour. They maybe wouldn't appeal to more worldly & streetwise kids as they are quite old fashioned. I've also enjoyed reading them aloud to my daughter and found that my 3 yr old son listened avidly too - quite rare to find something I can read aloud to both children, so for that reason I have given them 5 stars.

My four-year old daughter, Hannah loved this book more than any other I've bought for her. After reading each story to her she always says; 'another one!' so don't buy this if you want the kids asleep by eight. These are economically written, inventive, character-based stories that stand the test of time. Whatever Blyton's faults, she knew about good story-telling.

my 5 year old daughter loves these stories! amelia jane is a naughty doll who gets into alot of trouble and the stories are well written and give her lots of laughs!

I love this book, I grew up with it ( the 1939 version!) and still read it from time to time. Glad to see there are some newer stories out there also.

Amelia Jane likes to play tricks on the toys.
I think Ameila is always the main attraction of the story and she is always up to mischief.She never lets the toys have peace. Read more
