I have been dealing with a dodgy tooth for about five years. Before this tooth was properly identified as the culprit, a healthy tooth next door was mistakenly pulled after a new crown on it evidently capped the escape-route for the on-going bacterial infection. In spite of my best efforts, infections would recur, requiring a round of antibiotics to douse the infection.
For other health reasons, have been taking 5g-12g vitamin C daily for the past year, and that helped quiet things for the most part. Found that Barberry tincture worked against the recurring bacterial infection instead of antibiotic.
In spite of things mostly under control, the dodgy tooth seemed loose at times and was susceptible and sensitive when biting on something stronger than it - resulting in pressure and what feels like separation of the tooth (e.g., a crack in it - which doesn't show up on x-rays).
So, what about the PerioBrite?
If you study the ingredients, there is an amazing array of ingredients with anti-microbial (cinnamon, black walnut, grapefruit seed, oregano, etc.) and anti-oxidant support, including Co-Q10 (which I also supplement separately as I am over 50). It also has some lysine, which along with vitamin C, helps build collagen, which is what comprises our gums.
I am about two weeks in, and the taste and feel of this toothpaste is spicy and warm, and leaves my teeth feeling clean. The biggest gain is that my gums are now indeed stronger, and that dodgy tooth is not scared by tough foods any longer! I can now use both sides to chew. There is no question that my gums are now providing a stronger base for my teeth, and there seems to be no sign of tooth infection or pain. A big improvement and, with no fluoride!
