Serious metaphysics and reality creation, 17 Jun 2001

If you are more than trivially interested in what lies behind the scenes in metaphysics and reality creation then this book is well worth considering. Forget its provenance - just read it. It is the first of the Seth books I ever read and I am always sceptical of channeled material, however after a few pages my doubts were gone.If you want an easier introduction then you might like to try Lynda Dahl's books based on the Seth readings. Take these in the order in which she wrote them: Beyond The Winning Streak, Ten Thousand Whispers finishing with The Wizards Of Consciousness. If you want background Seth material then try The Seth Material and Seth Speaks. The Nature Of Personal Reality is not the easiest of books. Seth does not talk down to those expecting new age, simplistic or unthinking presentation. However it is readable, interesting and practical. Seth explains how our beliefs affect what happen to us. We create what we perceive, individually and collectively. He tells how to identify limiting beliefs and how to change our way of thinking. I've tried over the last few years and any problems have been mine not of Seth's teaching. Seth explains the how and why of the physical world. There is so much more on metaphysics in his other books, some of it quite difficult to understand and come to terms with. Nonetheless it is worth studying. If the serious side of this metaphysics interests you, then you may wish to read Norman Friedman's books: Bridging Science And Spirit and The Hidden Domain. This material is very deep, touching on philosophy and quantum physics, but don't let that put you off the practicalities! You don't need to understand physics to choose the TV channels you want to watch or the reality you want to create. Coming from a scientific background, I question and cogitate. I've researched religion and new age philosophies. For me, this is the end of my search and the beginning of my enlightenment. In Seth's terms, if you've read this and you feel inside, even ever so slightly, it worth pursuing then follow your feelings. If you feel slightly daunted by the word metaphysics then read Lynda Dahl's books first but do read The Nature Of Personal Reality. Hamish Gunn
