Format: Paperback
This is a beautiful book containing many walks which can be undertaken in the landscape of Glastonbury and which can be used in this way, or through meditation, to connect to the mysteries of Avalon. It is worth having for the pictures alone but there is much more to it than that.
Whilst I can understand previous comments about the "historical accuracy" of the book I do not consider that this negates its worth. There are many truths and many ways to the truth. I don't recall Kathy Jones suggesting that her interpretation was the only one.
Kathy Jones is writing from her own experience of Glastonbury and Avalon. This is part of the beauty of the book; rather than being a dry academic text full of researched "facts" it is an account of one person's real experiences in the world that we live in now and can bring those experiences to others.
If you want a book which is filled with historical research this is not the one for you but if you want to explore the mysteries of Avalon as a living tradition this will be a thought-provoking and, for some, transformative read.

I would recommend this book very highly to anybody fascinated by British paganism. I learned so much from it and it will be a much-used book.
