... For a start there is no mention or coverage of Ireland's Waterways, and secondly it only covers a few of the river systems in England and Scotland - nothing in Wales, and nothing about the UK's and Ireland's magnificent canal systems.

The illustrations are black and white and very poor quality at that. There is an attempt to give a number of itineries - a good idea, but poorly executed. Such written description needs a clear reference to maps to be properly understood. There are in fact very few maps, and these vary from the incomprehensible and unreadable to the overly simplistic and useless. They detract from rather than add to the itineries, which are in themselves but poorly described anyway.

Don't waste your money...
