Product Description

We all want clean and hygienic homes, yet many of us are concerned at the high levels of chemicals being used. This book offers safe and effective alternatives for cleaning agents, spot removal and general cleaning around the home in an A-Z format. Find out how vinegar removes chocolate stains with ease, how common salt will lift red wine from carpets and how baking soda will tackle grease and oil.

This book tells you how to clean (primarily house and clothes) using easily sourced 'natural' ingredients, such as bicarbonate of soda and white vinegar.

This book is cheap, it's British (so you therefore know that you can source the ingredients recommended) and it has a useful list of stains and "natural" ways of removing these stains. It also sticks to essential oils for fragrance, no synthetic fragrances (unlike Clean House, Clean Planet), so thumbs up for that.

The home made cleaning recipes are good as well, but very similair to Clean House, Clean Planet by Karen Logan, which I prefer as it discusses each cleaner in more depth. I'd probably recommend this book over that one though, because I think it's a real bargain and it does contain lots of useful info for environmentally, and home and people and animal, friendly ways to clean your house and clothes.

A fantastic book for those of us with green tendencies. A lot of the mixtures/ingredients listed in this book are more effective than both branded green products and major brand non-environmentally-friendly products.

The ingredients you'll need are cheap, just like this book, so you'll save money, too.

Buy it and try it.
