About the Author
Allan Potts is a self taught photographer who farms on the Tyneside-Northumberland, rural-urban fringe. He has been taking photographs for more than thirty years. He believes that to achieve a high level of success in wildlife photography it is essential to have an understanding of the natural world. He has won many awards for his photography over many years.

The photographs are brilliant! I do not know how Allan Potts managed to take so many outstanding images. His photographs of birds are amazing. The landscapes almost make you feel like you are there. My kids loved the seals. It is really good that there are photographs of wildlife species that are common throughout the countryside, not only the rare and unusual that you find in many books. The background text is very interesting. I have enjoyed reading it again and again. Essential for anyone who is interested in wildlife photography, and great value even before the Amazon discount.
