About the Author
Tina Barrett was taught to knit by her grandmother and ever since has been passionate about creating her own gorgeous designs. It was whilst pregnant, that Tina discovered the huge popularity of ethical baby products and came up with the idea for Natural Knits and Natural Crochet. I love this book and it is rare to find a pattern book where you would really like to make all the items! Beautiful photographs , each pattern explained well. My only complaints are :- 1) the gorgeous teddy suit looks great but is very impractical ( fastens at back and nearly impossible to change a wriggly 6 month old!) and 2) sometimes ( sorry designers!) seams are made where they aren't really needed - one of the joys of crochet is less sewing up! Just me being niggly maybe , as the items are still lovely.
However, I still highly recommend this book for all levels of crocheters:)

I'm new to crochet and these are the first patterns i've followed but have found them to be very logical and easy with a full explanation of stitches etc at the back of the book.
The yarns recommended are gorgeous but a little more expensive than your average yarns but there is a note at the back of the book of how to choose an alternative if you wish. i would happily recommend this book.

I have not crocheted any of the patterns yet so can't really comment on the technical correctness yet. It is a lovely looking book with very cute pictures of babies and toddlers. The text and diagrams seem clear and easy to follow. There is a useful intro about natural fibres which is interesting. However some of the garments are in Alpaca which is a beautiful fibre but not very practical. I wanted to crochet a lovely baby sleeping bag for the next grandchild but since it is due late november didn't feel I could inflict it on my daughter so I am going to see how well it translates to wool/acrylic. I also found that some of the other fibres are hard to find in local wool shops. Anyway I am taking the book on holiday and will have a go at the baby sleeping bag.

Ok
Was hoping to crochet some items from this book but i'm not sure i'll get round to it. The toy bear and bear suit look sweet but the rest of the items seem a little old fashioned.
