The author, a self professed formere geek, hadn't even kissed a girl by age 21, until he taught himself the art of seduction. It seems to have worked well for him and now he teaches the reader how to do it for themselves. You might find, as I did, that some of the techniques might be likened to NLP, but whatever works, works and you can't argue with progress. If you looking to up your game a bit, this is a good bet. I'd recommend it to just about anyone who wants to learn the art of seduction. Another good bet--How To Be The Man Women Want: The Get More Confidence and Meet Better Women Guide To Dating.

I thought I'd write a real review rather than the sales pitch that seems to have been written by other "reviewers" here.

This is quite an interesting, inspiring story about a guy who used to be a geek and turned himself into a god (with women) in a couple of years. If you want to become more confident with women then this book is an ok starting point (Richard's story proves that "anyone can do it").

However this book is not going to give you enough training to really become good with women, plus I've got big reservations about its morality. If a player uses all these techniques then it could prove damaging to women. If a nice guy applies them then I'm all for him getting a bit more confidence. As any woman knows, it's not the best looking bloke or the richest bloke who gets the girl - it's the most confident bloke.

Read this book if you are a female who wants to understand how these men (pick up artists) think, i.e. totally focused on what you look like and getting you in the sack - forgot your brains, your personality, etc. etc - Richard's advice to his (male) readers is to get you in bed "as soon as possible".

It was interesting comparing this book with what is, I guess, the female equivalent - "The Rules". I found both books a bit depressing - is this what relationships have been reduced to? I'd be interested to see how Richard and his mates cope with a "Rules" girl actually. Richard says that you should try to bed a girl as quickly as possible, whereas The Rules say you shouldn't sleep with a guy on the first 3 dates. Who wins? I'd bet Richard, but only because he seems to pick young foreign girls (easier to manipulate?).

Verdict: entertaining but morally suspect

This is absolutely the best book on game and pickup out there. Richard La Ruina was worse than average guy when it came to women, apparently he was still a virgin at 21 and had only kissed two girls by the time he was 25. Now it would seem to him I imagine, that that was a long time ago, however it is only a couple of years ago. In this short time he managed to discover the PUA life and know all the tricks and techniques.

I personally never liked the idea of having to use openers that meant nothing to me, and I never enjoyed negging, it always seemed to me, with the few girls I had had in the past, who were amazing though it was all down to luck, that I had never needed to do these things before, I just happened to do it all naturally, and even though I'm fairly good looking, at the time my acne was so bad that random people in the street would inform me of this fact and loudly, illiterately and crassly suggest things I could do to change it.

Richard La Ruina after learning a perfect 'skill set' discarded it because he didn't want to have to rely on tricks and games either. Everything he does could be done to full effect even if you explained to the girl before hand exactly what it was you were going to do. I've only been using this style for a short period of time, and in the past year I have had 2 or maybe 3 phone numbers, since I started using this style which is less than a month or two, I have managed to accumulate well over 20. His views on eye contact and sexual tension are particularly powerful and the 3 personalities theory is gold.

I just can't explain just how easy it is to learn and do it really is fool-proof.

I urge you to buy this to give birth to, or to resuscitate your sex life.
