This is the first book I bought when getting ready to make my own cleaning products. I have tried several of the suggested recipes and have been pleased with all the products. I think this is a great book for someone interested in doing this, as well as someone interested in making products to give as gifts (ex. face creams, potpourri sachets, etc.) There are a few drawbacks to the book: Many of the items needed to make the products are unusual and hard-to-find, especially for someone like me who lives in a rural area. It also seems like even though many of the recipes use the same ingredients, almost each one has something different in it. Since I am making my own cleaning products to save money, it has initially been less cost effective. Also, the index is terribly arranged, listing the contents of the book by chapter instead of subject.
