A fantastic book! 5 Dec 2007
Format:Paperback
I've loved the Grand National since I was a child, and this book is an absolute marvel of research. I wasn't expecting details of every race, especially the early ones - but they're all here. Admittedly there are some incidental details and personal stories missing, but with over one hundred and fifty races to cover, not every story can be included. I must take slight issue with a previous reviewer who complained about the brevity with which the 1993 debacle was dealt with - frankly, I was glad to have it brushed over as the abandonment of the race was extremely sad and nothing I wish to dwell on.

Anyway, if you're a junkie for information on this great race, then you won't go far wrong here.
