Product Description

Product Description

Faces in the night, evil statuettes, ghostly cemeteries, and talking heads. Don't look over your shoulder...This collection of stories all have a big surprise in store, so watch out for the ending - it's nasty! Extracted from "The Young Oxford Book of Nasty Endings", one of the best-selling books in the 'Young Oxford Books' series. It is a completely unique anthology of unsettling, clever, and slightly unnerving stories. It is a mix of the best of contemporary and established writers, with some newly commissioned stories. The authors include E. Nesbit, T.H. White, Ruskin Bond, and Alison Prince.

This is an excellent book, it is very amusing and is packed full of strange and creepy stories. It is composed by a wide variety of authors with great imaginations. All of the stories are fairly short and only take a maximum of ten minutes to read and are four to thirteen pages long. They all end with a twist or unexpected ending.

The stories are based on a horror theme that, when mixed with comedy, are very funny and weird. I think that this book is suitable for a range of ages from eleven to thirteen. This book is also suitable for boys and girls, although I think that it mainly appeals to boys because of its scary tales based on faces in the night, evil statuettes and ghostly cemeteries.

I would definitly recommend this book to all of my friends because I just couldn't put it down, and I can't wait to read the next book, Nasty Endings 2.
