If you enjoyed the broadcast series this is well worth the purchase. Excellently crafted drama with some outstanding actors. I have become a big Connie Britton fan because of this show. I love Hayden Panetierre, too. I never really thought much of country music before this show, but little did I know that all I had heard was the old school stuff. The music in this show is incredible. I have bought all the music as well and nothing else gets played in my car at the moment.

Connie Britton should have won the Emmy, even though I love Clare Danes in Homeland. One day she will actually win instead of getting constantly nominated but not winning.

Btw if you like Nashville, try Friday Night Lights. It's really good!

Cant say I was a huge fan of country music, but started watching the programme on More 4. I love it so much, the music is great the storylines, electric.
There is some pretty tight editing, and so much drama can take place in one episode, but the series is unmissable.
I love Rayna and Deacon and Scarlet and Juliette.
I've cried at the heartbreak, thank goodness I watch this alone, and horoughly loved it so much I've bought the CD soundtracks, and play the first one released regularly.
I wish the UK could make such rounded, dramatic well written dramas. Nothing really compares.
There's drama, love, political intrigue and music and rivallry. It's better than Dallas in its heyday and deserves a huge audience. I'm thoroughly impressed. The supporting actors cannot be faulted either, and there is enough back story for each to make them rounded and likeable and interwoven through the plots. I'm preordering the DVD too .

Hey, I've been watching 'Nashville' online since Episode 1 first came out just over a year ago and I'm a huge fan of the show, even though every week is filled with nail-biting apprehension, waiting for the next dose of drama to arrive! Somehow they manage to pack so many intense storylines into each episode and it's all ongoing and cumulative.. yeah it's pretty dramatic stuff, reminds me a bit of 'Dallas' but set in the music industry.. (actually a LOT better than Dallas!)

The characters are all really well drawn and the acting of the whole cast is fantastic. The music is brilliant and likeable even if you're not a fan of country-music, just a lot of great songs. The worst part for me as a viewer has been when the network takes mid-season breaks or lays the show aside for events like the super-bowl and such and you're waiting for your next 'fix' from this tremendous saga.. excruciating! So if you're watching for the first time on DVD you can avoid all that agony of waiting, you LUCKY people!!

It's almost the end of the second series now on TV and the show continues to thrill each week with great storylines. I'm keen to purchase this boxed set soon so I'll be able to revisit the first series, it's great value too at around 20 for the set. To anyone who hasn't seen 'Nashville' yet I'd heartily recommend it as a great watch.. I've turned several friends onto it and they're even more hooked than me now! Absolutely 5 STARS, must-see. Px :))

I've watched Nashville season 1 twice, and would recommend it to anyone that doesn't take themselves too seriously. My friend currently has my dvd and I'm so jealous that she has it all to look forward to!

The plot is predictable, the dialogue is terrible, but it looks great, it's full of pretty people and the songs are genuinely ace. As bubblegum tv goes, it doesn't come better than Nashville s1.

It seems pretty representative of the country fervor and the scenery makes me a bit nostalgic. Great fun series with great singing which is very representative of every bar and cafe I visited. Unbelievable talent on every street corner! Forget
NYC, visit Nashville TN (now I sound like a travel agent lol).

As a Brit who lived in Nashville for 4 years, I love seeing the ol' neighbourhood! They must have actually shot this in the streets because it's exactly as I remember. I lived in Sylvan park area which was great and we used to haunt Green Hills, Hillsboro Village, Opryland, Bluegrass Inn and The Bluebird Cafe, which I'm sure has been on or a representation. If Bongo Java and Fido's show up in S2, or the Loveless Cafe and Natchez Trace, I may just squeal. Ahhh Cracker Barrel and Las Palmas, Best of India and Hot kabobs.....the 'British section' in Publix with a small packet of digestives for $5 and Yorkshire Teabags for $4 hahaha - sorry, I'll stop now...it's all just too much!! Memmmmoriessssss...... ;-)
