This fourth volume of the `Naruto Shippuden' anime contains a further thirteen episodes of the series. This volume sees Naruto and Team Kakashi coming into conflict with Orochimaru and the ensuing fight quickly gets out of control as Naruto begins to lose control of himself leading to a dangerous situation for him and his friends. Meanwhile Sai has his own secret mission to complete and he will do anything to get it done.
As the cover of the case indicates, this fourth `Naruto Shippuden' collection sees the return of Sasuke Uchiha to the series, although typically he doesn't make a full appearance until towards the end of the thirteen episodes presented here. My favourite part of this volume though has to be the battle between Orochimaru and an out of control Naruto as it nicely shows how powerful the two are and just how dangerous Naruto can be.
The episodes here do have a few problems with them though. The main problem is one that the series has had since the beginning of the original series, namely that it takes ages to get anywhere, massively overusing flashbacks and repetition. The other, more minor, problem is that there is some inconsistences with the animation as while some of it is rather good there are moments where the quality drops somewhat.
Overall though this was an entertaining instalment of `Naruto Shippuden' and is worth a low four stars at the very least.
