Product Description

Naruto Is Back! And This Time He s Older, Stronger and Wiser. Naruto Shippuuden is the continuation of the original animated TV series Naruto. The story revolves around an older and slightly more matured Uzumaki Naruto and his quest to save his friend Uchiha Sasuke from the grips of the snake-like Shinobi, Orochimaru. After 2 and a half years Naruto finally returns to his village of Konoha, and sets about putting his ambitions to work, though it will not be easy, as He has amassed a few (more dangerous) enemies, in the likes of the shinobi organization; Akatsuki.

5.0 out of 5 stars The real story begins 14 Mar 2011

The original batch of naruto was an extremely enjoyable series, but now is when it gets truly good. The start of shippuden is a little bit slow and yes there are a few filler episodes, but it all adds up to you getting back into the swing of things. The characters are, as ever, very well put together. I enjoyed all of series 1 and the following few volumes also. I would recommend this to ANY anime fan even if they haven't watched the earlier series. Very easy to watch!

5.0 out of 5 stars Naruto part two begins 21 Jun 2010

The `Naruto Shippuden' anime is the second half of the story of Naruto Uzumaki and takes off two and a half years after the end of the previous `Naruto' series. When Naruto returns to the Hidden Leaf village after training with Jiraiya he is reunited with his friends but the Akatsuki organization now one the offensive once again and they have their sights set on the Hidden Sand village and its new leader.

This first set of thirteen episodes of the `Naruto Shippuden' anime are great fun to watch with some nice animation and a reasonably good English dub. The storyline is interesting and although it still takes some time for episodes to get anywhere it is by no means as bad as some of the early episodes from the original `Naruto' series. The battles are nicely done and while there are some things different from the original manga (such as the absence of the `Kakashi Chronicles') it is still a relatively decent adaptation. The series also has a series of omake sketches between each episode which are quite funny and are informative for people new to the series.

Overall this is a very good start to the series and I am very much looking forward to its continuation.

5.0 out of 5 stars Naruto Shippuden 15 Dec 2013

So you're a true Naruto fan? Then what the heck are you waiting for? Buy it! The first 4 box sets of Naruto Shippuden (US Import) are traditional and have awesome artwork inside! But after the 4th box set they decided to change the boxes and released the 5th and 6th box set in a thinner cardboard and after the 7th box set it just came in a normal DVD case...But the artwork on the cases is still nice and worth the buy! Anyway never and I mean NEVER buy UK anime DVD's because to be honest they s...k!!! Why? Because there's almost no artwork, they released them all in normal DVD cases and the video/audio quality is horrible! Sure they're cheaper but the overall quality is bad! That's why I always buy US anime DVDs and you should too!
