Grace, a stressed, depressed and over weight, 28-year old, London high-flyer, wakes up in a private hospital after a nervous breakdown. She asks her self one fundamental question.

“Is this my life?”

This question sparks an epic leap of faith as she abandons her old ways and moves to the Far East. Embracing the ancient and the mystical, encountering sex gurus, dangerous rituals, tantra and karmic cleansers. In the course of this relentless pursuit Grace finds "The Meaning."

5.0 out of 5 stars adventure for the mind, the body and the soul 20 Dec 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I have had this book on a reading list for sometime and the perfect opportunity presented itself as I was heading on an adventure. I became mindful of soul, ego, my body and my "goddessness" - there were times my jaw dropped and had to tell my travelling companion what I had just read to make sure I had not got it wrong - and there were times I re-read passages because they achingly resonated with my own life. Thanks for a fabulous read Grace

What a wonderful, honest and brave expression of life and how it can carry us along to a place that we never dreamt of if we allow it. Grace gives such a lovely but scarily honest account of her life, you want to give her a hug and tell her it will be OK. Brilliant, a must read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Inspirational 8 Aug 2013
Format:Paperback
I was gifted this book whilst on a journey and it's been excellent company. Although hilarious and highly entertaining it is also challenging and apatite wetting. Grace experiences an entirely new way of life and if you've been curious about such things in the past this is just that kick you may need to do some further research and soul searching into how much more and deeper life is. This book has that lovely feeling that the author was having a long chat with me over tea, leaving me asking questions or desiring the pursuit of certain experiences for myself. So well done for getting the message across and creating a curiosity that must be personally fulfilled.
And for the purpose of clarity, it may not be eloquent or superbly well written but asides its literary "short-comings" this book is a lot more about the experience and discovery of life. And that should be its focus. Don't open this book expecting to be marvelled by its prose, you will not but rather be open to Grace's journey and attentive to your own stirring.

5.0 out of 5 stars Gasping, squealing and giggling 18 Jan 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
I loved this book! This book shocked me a little, actually at times it shocked me a lot! This is one crazy brave girl, the things she does...willingly, wow! I don't want to give too much away, except to say, I stayed up far, far too late wanting to see what happened next. The fact that it's a true story, amazes me. I would consider myself fairly adventurous but Grace is impressive. One other thing, she is funny, very very funny. Great dry sense of humour. Just get the book - and try not to read it while in public, you will gasp, squeal and giggle, not to mention pull some funny faces your mother might not approve of!
