About the Author

GABY ALLRATH is the author of (En)Gendering Unreliable Narration (2005). Further publications include articles on narrative theory, gender theory, gender and narrative in television series, and on the English nineteenth- and twentieth-century novel. She now works as a Product Manager for an advertising agency in Germany.

MARION GYMNICH is in the Giessen Graduate School for the Humanities, Justus Liebig University, Germany. She has published on women's writing, postcolonial literature, and narrative theory, and co-edited Literature and Linguistics (2002, with A. Nünning/V. Nünning); Literatur - Erinnerung - Identität (2003, with A. Erll/A. Nünning); Funktionen von Literatur (2005, with A. Nünning).
