Format:Audio CD
Libedinsky is improving soundwise to his debut album "Narcotango",musically and using real instruments this time, even though it is not as commercial as his debut album, Narcotango Dos is a great example of how an artist can mature musically. Narcotango dos is a welcome sign of an overexposed Libedinsky and yet it shows that not only neotango is made of artists like Otros Aires who want a quick buck!
Thank god he is not using Gardel samples and playing real instruments.

Electronic Tango for Dancing

I was in Buenos Aires when this CD came out, when Carlos brought his tracks - fresh out of the studio - to a practica at Villa Malcolm and later when the whole band presented the new album at Club Niceto... This really is electronic tango for tangueros.
For me, Narcotango never was as good of an ambience/lounge project as GoTan - it sounds a little rougher, less pleasant, a little less melodic.
BUT - on the dancefloor of a milonga it is unrivaled - the rhythms, changes, the melodic lines, all lend themselves perfectly to dancing. It took me some time to get used to vol. 2, but I'd say by now I prefer it to vol. 1 - although it probably lacks a super-memorable track like "Vi luz y subí", the whole feel of the album is better, more consistent, and you can just dance through it.

Great CD

Narcotango2 is an excellent CD. Tracks 1-4, 7 and 10 are particularly good. It improves on the original by having more melody orientated tracks and stronger motivic integrity. Most reviews say that Narcotango2 is not as good as Narcotango - they are very similar and some of the harmonic progressions are identical but if you listen to them in isolation (i.e. if you hadn't bought Narcotango first!)then you would probably see more readily that the follow up album is significantly more polished than the first. Highly recommended. Not for traditionalists who like their dirge unchallenging...

It's a good compilation but rather boring - can't listen to it more than once, to my opinion
