Book Description

Contact with a narcissist can be at once exhilarating and confusing, hurtful and seductive. It can make you feel like you are losing your mind, yet without an understanding of why you feel that way. Some narcissistic people, many in fact, seem quite normal, welcoming, even nice. But betrayal often follows, and so does hurt. This little ebook can be used to help you recognize the many ways narcissism looks and how it seduces in relationships, friendships and at work. Understanding the disease of narcissism can also help the non-narcissist begin to heal. This ebook offers tiny but powerful suggestions to promote healing from the pain narcissism has inflicted. Sneak a glance (on your phone or other e-reader) when you need extra support as you work through your day, deal with emotions, and learn how to step back, and away, from the damaging effects of a narcissistic person.

1.0 out of 5 stars Dont waste your money 8 Jun. 2014

'Little' and 'Primer' are the key things to notice here. There are hundreds of fabulous resources online dealing with Narcissism. This author appears to have read some of them, made some notes, taken some excerpts, then put it all together, called it a book and expects people to pay for it. If you have read ANY other book on Narcissism this one won't tell you anything you dont already know. If you have never read a book on Narcissism there are FAR better ones out there. You can even go online and find better stuff on Google.

5.0 out of 5 stars I think this is a great little book 6 Nov. 2014

I think this is a great little book, packed with information on narcissism and strategies to deal with the narcissist in your life. Of course, it is true that one could pay more and get a longer, more detailed book, but for someone who wants concise information that they can dip into over and over again, this really fits the bill. When one has been victimised and needs to break the behaviour patterns that allowed it, one struggles and gets confused and needs constant support and encouragement which is fairly easily available when needed. That's what this book provides, along with a big dose of truth and common sense. I call that value for money!

finally able to put a label on the relationship, I felt like a heavy load had been lifted and was now armed to tackle the situation even to the extent that I would be able to advise my son that it wasn't his fault and to not fuel the fire but to be happy with his choices and decision-making. narcissism almost could be described as someone who is a bully. will now go and read more on narcissism

This is a great book. It's practical and concise with compassion for the victims of narcissists but also recognising that the narcissist too is also a victim. It's encouraging and accessible and useful to read and re-read when dealing with a narcissist.
