Product Description

Book Description

AT THE SUBATOMIC LEVEL OF STORYTELLING EXISTS A NEW GENRE THAT
HAS NEVER BEEN EXPOSED - UNTIL TODAY

Nanotales is a gripping new style of literature perfectly formed for a
generation with no time and very little patience. In a groundbreaking work
that will redefine the boundaries of storytelling, Ziv Navoth takes the
reader on an emotional rollercoaster ride into the trials and tribulations
of people like you.

Shorter than a short story, a nanotale is the perfect antidote to
modern-day life; designed to be read between tube stations, with a morning
coffee, or at the bus-stop. With no chapters, no page numbers and no index,
Nanotales can transport the reader into another world and back in seven
minutes. We are thrust from the moral conundrum of the advertising
executive briefed to create a campaign for an imaginary war, to the anguish
of the widow faced with explaining her husband's death to her little boy.
Each nanotale is capable of producing an intense emotional response,
whether this is pain, panic, euphoria or ecstasy.

From the Publisher

Nanotales is published by Franc Roddam's Ziji Publishing.
Ziji's stable of debut hits include Clive Woodall's international success
One for Sorrow which was sold to Disney for $1million, and the worldwide
bestseller, The Last Templar by Raymond Khoury, which topped the charts in
the UK, Germany, Norway, Czech Republic and appeared in the top ten in the
New York Times bestseller list for eleven weeks.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wicked idea!, 25 Feb 2007
What a great idea! But not just an idea - this book really delivers! Well, these stories really deliver. The hype about a new genre of literature for the masses who can't sit through a film at the cinema without rustling papers and ruining it for everyone, is not only true, but these stories are provocative, touching, engaging, inspiring, thoughtful, witty and plain funny - choose one to suit your mood! If you don't like it, turn to another, and then come back to the first one on another day. Characters you believe in, fresh dialogue, identifiable dilemmas - and real plot development in just a few pages. A wicked read...

5.0 out of 5 stars A Great-Little Read, 11 Feb 2007
By Y. Peleg "Reader at large" (Boston, MA, USA) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
I actually found the description of the book above a bit misleading and, after reading a number of the stories, selling the book a bit short. I am not so sure that the stories are a new genre and I am not completely convinced that you need little time or no patience to read them. The stories are just plain good short stories. No caveats needed. Most of the ones I've read so far (none yet on a bus or on the tube) I thought were poignant, gripping and transporting. I loved the one about the Russian would-be mafioso, hilarious, and the one about the dentist is ripe too. Highly recommended to take you places and make you think.

5.0 out of 5 stars tales for our age, 9 Feb 2007
By C. Roche - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
razor sharp slice of life stories, glimpses into peoples lives, their struggles, their psyches. This book of very short stories offers up such a broad range of genres and characters that it is impossible to describe. All i can say is that these tales are at times incredibly moving, funny, devastating and very very insightful.
I cant reccomend this book enough. Reading one story can be like downing a shot of tequila. Reading them all...well...
