We Knew He'll Be Back!!!,

This review is from: Terminator 3: Redemption (Xbox) (Video Game)
The Terminator franchise must be a gift to any developer, considering it has all the elements a videogame nowadays requires. But the recent releases such as Rise of The Machines were truly poor and shamed Arnold's legacy. But this one certainly redeems the mistakes and flaws of its predecessor. You take control of Arnie from a 3rd person viewpoint and start in a wartorn future. yo'll be amazed by the rendering of Arnie and add to that the great man's voice(yes full of cliches), and you actaully feel you are Arnie. The shooting system is well suited to xbox, but practice before you really get into the game. But the driving sections are a joy. You contol a vehicle(you can also sabotage enemy vehicles) and shoot instantaneously, meaning non stop action. Graphically the game offers smooth textures and a brilliant dark tone, which is essentail to this game. Arnie takes damage and his exoskeleton is revealed, so this is certainly a good indication of myour health. Much of the sounf in recognisable from the movies themselves. I havent completed the game yet, but for once, I will finish a game made by Atari!!

A pretty thorough game,
This review is from: Terminator 3: Redemption (Xbox) (Video Game)
When the people who made Dawn of Fate said they were releasing a new Terminator game, you can imagine I was a little worried. However, the more I heard about it, the more I liked it. I finally had the chance to rent it out my local Blockbusters later on, and believe you me, I was not disappointed. The game shoves you straight into the action. You fight through post-apocolypse Hollywood on foot, playing gunner on a vehicle and eventually riding shotgun (or rather, minigun) in a helicopter. The co-op mode is not as good as the rest of the game, however. Basically, you and your mate are riding shotgun in a helicopter as you fly over Skynet forces. You have to take them all out before you can proceed to the next area, before having to do it again... and again... and again... and, well, you get the idea. To wrap it up, Terminator 3: Redemption is a very professional game. While only Terminator fans like me will grasp it, I'm pretty sure newcomers will enjoy it also.

He Said He`d Be Back...,

This review is from: Terminator 3: Redemption (Xbox) (Video Game)
This game is not the most involving or complex, but if it`s a no nonsence shooter with plenty of action you`re after then this is the title for you.The game is a third person shooter and is probably best described as a mix of beat em up shoot em up and driving game styles. There are some really nice features in this game. One of my favourite things is the way as Arnie takes damage his flesh is stripped revealing the exo sceleton beneath. The game itself provides loads of variety, there are plenty of different vehicles to pilot and you can also interact with turrets and not forgetting when you are on foot and can use either a variety of weapons, your bare hands or even pick up signposts to help combat your enemies. There is also a coop game mode, but to be honest it`s pretty poor and dosen`t add much to the title. Overall this is a decent game and recreates a lot of the atmosphere of the movies. At under 20 quid this game is well worth buying to while away those nights awaiting Halo 2 or Doom 3 or whatever.
