Retro is as retro does, and this compilation conjours images of saturday mornings spent in the amusement arcade with a couple of quid your mum gave you while she shopped for weekly groceries in Prestos.
It was always entertaining watching in admiration some maverick schoolkid mounting colossal scores, with mere mortals like myself failing miserably.
I bought this game primarily for games like Pole Position, Dig Dug and Pacman which are still as addictive and playable now as they were back then, and equally as difficult and frustrating.
Other classics such as Galaxian and Xevious are here as well.
This collection is difficult to get these days, but because of it's simplicity and accessibility, its worth getting as you'll find yourself coming back for more and more.
A worthy addition for any retro game collector or anyone wanting a quick game fix.

These games really take me back to the now dim and distant 1980's when technology was new reality. The highlight has to be the legendary 'Pac-Man' which led the revolution in arcade and later home gaming. Now it seems rather clumsy and slow when compared to a new high def PS3 game. But simple fun it is and it's still a challenge to work through the various levels. The other games here such as the brilliant Poll Position are again fine retro fun with no other challenge other than steering the racing car. The graphics are well emulated here and you would never know it was being generated by the PS2. If you love old games and the 80's this is a must buy for the growing retro collection.
