This game is great. 40 characters that you dont need to bother to unlock which is great. But also urges you to play with upgradable customizations which is really good fun.
But the bad bits of the game. Well there's not really any easy way of saying this but the 3D campaign thing is crap! Ok maybe crap is a bit harsh, but its just really annoying small stages which are just straight roads with a couple of right angle corners with a bunch of weak enemies and a boss at the end. The story doesn't really make any sense what so ever. But the arcade, survival and team modes are all great fun, but to get the best customizations you need to play the campaign but in the campaign you dont start with all the characters so if your favorite character is for example Kazuya Mishima, you have play most of the campaign before you get any items for him! Really annoying. But thats the only bad bit the combat is amazing awesome 10-hit combos crazy characters and great scenery and music. Great with a friend. Reminded me when i was 10 on my ps1 playing tekken 2. Great graphics, great combat, great game.

Having just completed this game's main storyline, I've decided to make this review.

This game is a must for the Tekken fan who wants to understand the plot a little better. You get plenty of Battle modes to settle your hunger for Tekken mayhem. You can get Arena, which is similar to the story-mode in Tekken 4, you get Scenario Campaign which is the main story to the game, this plays like Tekken Force mode from Tekken 3 but is more than four times as long to complete, you get Arcade mode like the one in Tekken 5. The one thing I must warn you about this game though is that unlike the usual Tekken action where the only difficulty change is the one you select or get up to on Survival, the end-boss will annoy you unless you have good patience.

That was my summary of this whole thing, I'll go into a little more detail now. The game welcomes some new characters:

- Alisa Bosconovitch
- Azazel
- Bob
- Lars Alexandersson
- Leo
- Miguel Caballero Rojo
- Zafina

That list is only a copy and paste job from Wikipedia, Azazel and NANCY-MI847J are the annoying opponents you'll end up facing on your first game, unless you jump straight into Scenario Campaign.

Scenario Campaign will dip in and out of introducing you to the new characters, it focuses on the new characters Alisa Bosconovitch and Lars Alexandersson and their partnership will guide you through adventure, and serious fun, especially if you liked Tekken Force mode. Unlike previous Tekken Force modes, you work with Alisa throughout the level, and the story is mainly about Lars and Alisa despite what character you use for each level. At the end of each level, you'll fight a boss who is typically a character from the game.

On the original Playstation I intended for my first game to be Wipeout. Went to buy it and Tekken was playing instore. I just had to have it. Been a fan ever since. Although I did miss Tekken 4 and 5.

This has had a detrimental effect on my abilities. Tekken Tag Tournament was the last time I played and now there are loads of characters I just don't know. Plus all the characters I do know have new moves. So it took me a while to get up to speed playing this online. It's truly frightening how good some people are at this game.

I used to think I was good but average is just about right. I can't fault the game as it's essentially the same gameplay as all the other Tekkens. Seems a little faster to me. Some characters like Paul Phoenix, Jin Kazama seem to have become a bit overpowered. Their moves seem to flow better too so it's really hard to tell where one move sequence ends and another starts.

The only thing that really annoys me about the game are some of the characters. In arcade mode the boss is ridiculous, he doesn't even fit on the screen and is about T-Rex sized sooooo..... that's a bit crap. I'm not sure who is new for Tekken 6 and who isn't but whoever is responsible for creating the character Alisa should be bullwhipped in public. Alisa belongs in Streetfighter, her moves are just ridiculous. Tekken was never exactly realistic but there were elements to it, in that some of the moves were realistic. I also really hate Zafina, not sure what the hell she's up to half the time. Oh and the whole capoeira thing. That just isn't martial arts to me.

Other than that I'd thoroughly recommend this game.

When i first picked up Tekken 6 on its release date, i was sorely dissapointed. I'm not sure what i was expecting - i think being a fan of previous titles, i had set my opinion too high of what i'd be recieving. I played Tekken 6 for about a week or so, and nearly traded it in.

Now, over a year and 4 months have passed and i have grown to really like Tekken 6, in fact it is one of my favourite PS3 games.

Going from colourful, traditional stages in the previous versions, to a war torn dark age of humanity isnt an easy transition to make, especially if you loved the really imaginative stages from the previous Tekken games. It seems now, the direction Tekken has taken is alot less random - Tekken, as players often begged for, now has a good line of story. This has been done very well, especially for a 'beat-em-up' although personally the story isnt to my personal preference.

The characters are still interesting, but like in every Tekken their appearance has changed, in some cases dramatically. However, customisation is a large part of Tekken 6, and you can even purchase items that hark back to the previous Tekken games, but this is limited. The strong point of the customisation is the diversity to which you can create you're own character. Many items are parts of a "set" though you can mix and match however you wish.
The combat - being the foal point of Tekken, is very good indeed. While certain characters have advantages over others, if you like a character and begin to learn how to use them properly and how to respond in a situation, you can utilise the right moves at the right time. Tekken 6 has many options available for most characters to achieve this.
