Great Balls of Fire!!!!,

This was one of the first games i played for the Playstation back in 1995, its not for everybody but if you liked games like after burner etc you will love this, it had great graphics for the time and was one of the first to use the Playstations HI-Res mode, it has many great levels culminating in one of the best end bosses i've ever seen, the only down side i would wager is that the planes have at first an awful paint job of red blue and white, however when you complete the game the planes are their normal colours, some of the planes are : F-14 Tomcat (of Top Gun Fame), the A-10 Warthog, F-15, and the F-117 Stealth Fighter. Another downside is the Two Player mode which has only one level which has the two contestants stuck in a quarry, without much room to move it makes for some interesting dog fights but a few more levels would have increased the replay value of the multiplayer mode considerably. In conclusion i would recommend this game to anyone who wants a air combat game that doesn't come with a 300 page manual, is easy to pick up and play, its great for a quick blast every now and again.

aye, this was the one which started one o the best game series ever!T'year was 1995, Toyota released t'MR2, James Bond made a come-back in Goldeneye, Michael Foale became t'first Britisher to walk in space and Namco released an awesome game called Air Combat. Graphics may be a bit laughable by todays standards but the music is totaly epic an the gameplay is ace
