It would have caused the funeral of Soviet Literature and Kononov could have been elected President of Russia... About the Author
Mikhail Kononov was born in 1948 in Leningrad. He studied Russian literature, then enrolled in the army and was exposed to missile radiation which has severely affected his health. He is a teacher, editor, artist, garden designer, and English translator. A member of the Russian Writer's Union, Mikhail Kononov is the author of numerous short stories and essays. The Naked Pioneer Girl is his first novel. He now lives in Germany.
